Spiderman
Lastly, doubles are seen throughout the evolution of
superheroes. My personal favorite one is Spiderman, specifically when Tom Holland
plays him(just saying he was the cutest and best spiderman). Anyway, Spiderman
wasn’t just a superhero, he was also a high school kid. He was able to create a
double life for himself, living a normal high schooler life but also trying to
save the world at the same time. Both of his worlds, the superhero one and the
normal high school one, eventually overlapped and some of his classmates found
out that he was spiderman. Keeping both of these world separate meant that he
created two different personalities around the people he interacted with in the
two worlds respectfully. Like when he’s spiderman, he’s fearless and he can’t
show any hesitation, where as in his more normal life, he is seen as more of a
reserved, smart, laidback kid who doesn’t have the weight of saving the world
on his shoulders. It becomes conflicting when the two worlds collide though
because the personalities he created are almost the complete opposite of one
another. This double life is seen in all superheroes such as Captain America, Iron
Man and especially the Hulk, because although they have the weight of saving
the world on their shoulders, they also have their private lives that the rest
of the world doesn’t see. Keeping up a front that they are always brave and are
able to save the world at any given moment can be stressful so the double of
themselves helps relieve some of that stress for them. Anyway, I love spiderman
and Tom Holland. I’ve enjoyed writing this blog😊 Happy
Holidays everyone!!
