Doubling over the Years

On the same note as my last post, Miley Cyrus has definitely created many personas of herself throughout the years. When she first escaped the Disney Channel era, she broke out into more of a punk rockish style of music and fashion. She started dating Liam Hemsworth and starred as many non-Disney approved characters. She then transitioned into a stage that was very rebellious and scandalous for a former Disney Star. She twerked, was open about her sexualities and experimenting with different sexes, she got tattoos, she sang and swung on a wrecking ball naked, and her music just wasn’t what people were expecting from a girl from Tennessee who got famous from Disney. After this stage in life, she calmed down, has been looking more like a normal respectable person lately. Because Cyrus was a child star at such a young age, I believe she started on Disney when she was about 14 or so, she lost a lot of her childhood and had to grow up and act like an adult when she wasn’t at the maturity level to do so. Thus this caused her to “go off the deep end” and rebel a little bit afterwards because she wanted to have those remaining six year of her teenage years back. Miley is Hannah Montana, the girl with all the tattoos and the person who grew out of the rebellious phase. She has created different personas for herself over the years which has been exploited in a negative light, but in reality we all change in different ways as we grow up.
