The Best of Both Worlds
When I grew up, Disney Channel was really at its
prime and one of the most popular shows was Hannah Montana. Hannah
Montana, played by Miley Cyrus, was about a girl who was a famous teenage pop
singer as well as a normal high school girl. She lived a double life to get a normal
at home life while still being able to live out her dream of being a famous
singer. Because of this double life that she lived, like anyone else, she
created two different personalities: a stuck up spoiled teenager, and her
normal one. These two personalities corresponded to how she acted in front of
the people she was around when she had to have two differing personas around
people. With two conflicting personalities, it was hard for her to find who she
really was. While growing up, she had to figure out a lot of times whether she
wanted to just be Miley and have a normal life or take on the role of Hannah Montana
full time. She was faced with decision at the very end of the show, she decided
to just live her normal life because she had outgrown Hannah. It also became
conflicting when it came to her romantic relationships because she didn’t want
someone who just wanted to be with her because she was a popstar but on the
other hand it was sometimes a turn off. Living this double life for the young
teen created a lot of conflict within herself and with others around her.
Although it may sound like fun to be a popstar while also living a normal life,
a double of yourself may eventually be created that will cause a lot of conflict
within yourself and others around you.
